Miami, FL (September 9, 2019) – Latin GRAMMY winner KAROL G has made history in her hometown of Medellin, Colombia as more than 100 Thousand Fans attended her highly anticipated OCEAN Tour Kickoff Concert. The concert was the highest attended event since 2006 and KAROL G became the first urban artist to gather over 100K attendees for the city in an event that filled the streets of Medellin and brought the city to a halt on Saturday September 7th, 2019. The all-day event featured performances by long time collaborators Ovy On The Drums, Sky Rompiendo, Papa G (Karol’s father). KAROL G took the stage at 9pm with her 3X Platinum Certified single “Pineapple” setting the crowd into a roar to later journey through some of her biggest hits to date such as “Ahora Me Llama,” “Ocean,” “Creeme,” “Culpables,” “Secreto” as well as some of her classic singles. As the crowd sang along during the over one-hour long set, the evening took a sudden turn that sent the audience into a frenzy as fellow Medellin-native and Global Superstar J BALVIN took the stage and surprised KAROL G during the performance of her hit single “Mi Cama” Remix. KAROL G who was visibly moved by the surprise invited J BALVIN to stay and perform their chart-topping collaboration “China” and some of his most recent hits: “No Me Conoce,” “La Cancion,” “Que Pretendes” and “Mojaita” wrapping up one of the most important and heartfelt concerts for KAROL G who is now the #1 Female Latin artist in the world.

El concierto fue el evento con mayor asistencia desde 2006 y convirtió a KAROL G en la primera artista urbana en reunir a más de 100 mil asistentes en un evento que llenó las calles de Medellín y detuvo la ciudad el pasado sábado 7 de septiembre del 2019. El evento duró todo el día y contó con las actuaciones de sus colaboradores Ovy On The Drums, Sky Rompiendo, y Papa G (el papa de Karol G) entre otros.
